Alex Chien

In the summer of 2010, Alex Chien (winner of the 2009-10 Young Artist Competition) went on a two-week long South America tour with the California Youth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Leo Eylar. As a featured piano soloist, Alex played Grieg's Piano Concerto in six major cities in Uruguay and Argentina. The concerts were enthusiastically attended and received everywhere they went, even though those two weeks were the final weeks of 2010 World Cup when both Uruguay and Argentina were in the final rounds! Concert VI was held on July 3, in Auditorio Juan Victorio, San Juan, Argentina
