Paul Yoon

Graduating Senior Concerto Competition Winner

Paul Yoon is a senior at Menlo-Atherton High School currently studying under Daniel Hawkins. Born in Boston, MA, and raised in Houston, TX, Paul moved to the Bay Area for high school. Paul began learning the French Horn in 7th grade. He is a 4-year member of CYS and has performed in the California All-State Wind Symphony in 2020 and 2021, and in the Interlochen Center for Arts Summer Program in 2022. At Menlo-Atherton High School, he is the principal Horn and a member of the music service club. Outside of music, he enjoys playing tennis and hiking. Next year, Paul plans to study chemistry or economics at Stanford and continue performing with Stanford Philharmonia.
