Welcome back to live concerts!
We are committed to ensuring that you have an exceptional concert experience, with confidence in the policies and procedures designed for a safe environment for all.
In alignment with Santa Clara & San Mateo County guidelines, CYS has implemented the following policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for our audiences, artists, and staff:
VACCINATION POLICY
Proof of Up-to-Date vaccination is required for everyone attending CYS concerts. “Up-to-Date” means a person has received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible. California residents may request a digital vaccination record at MyVaccineRecord.cdph.ca.gov. All attendees will need to bring either their physical vaccination card, a picture of their vaccination card, or a digital vaccination record. A valid photo ID is required for attendees over the age of 18. UPDATE 3/3/22: If eligible, but not boosted, guests must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR test within 48 hours of the event, or rapid antigen test on the day of the event).
At this time, we cannot welcome guests under the age of 5 who are not yet eligible for vaccination. If you are not fully vaccinated by the date of your planned visit to a CYS concert, you may enjoy our previous CYS concerts from the comfort and safety of your own home by visiting our CYS YouTube channel. If you have already reserved tickets, you may return your tickets by emailing Info@cys.org.
VACCINATION VERIFICATION PROCESS AT THE SAN MATEO PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Before entering the venue, each guest must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and a valid photo ID (if over the age of 18) to the CYS staff stationed at the tables outside the main doors.
Any of the CYS staff can process your verification. Please have whatever form of vaccine record (printed or digital) and your photo ID ready (if over the age of 18) when you get to one of the verification stations to keep things moving along. Upon verification, you will receive a wristband showing that you are clear for entry. Once you have that wristband, you may proceed directly to any ticket attendant inside the concert hall.
MASK MANDATE
CYS will still require all guests and musicians, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks inside the lobby and concert halls at our upcoming March concerts, even in light of recent changes in state and county recommendations. Thank you for wearing your mask at these venues!
Wear a mask with two or more layers. Wear the mask over your nose and mouth and under your chin. The following are prohibited: Masks with exhalation valves; masks made of loosely woven fabrics; scarves, buffs, bandanas, gaiters, and face shields alone (inadequate protection). The performers on stage will be masked, so we ask that you are too!
STAY AT HOME IF YOU ARE ILL
Stay home if you are sick or have COVID-19 symptoms, have been in contact with someone known to be or suspected to have been infected with COVID-19 within the last 10 days, or if you are subject to a quarantine or isolation order. For ticket returns, please email Info@cys.org.
ENHANCED HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES
The Cañada College Theater and San Mateo Performing Arts Center run the ventilation system at all times, regardless of weather conditions, to make sure the air is exchanging as frequently as possible. Hand sanitizer stations are positioned throughout the hall. Please wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizer stations. Program books will be available in both printed and digital formats. CYS will also implement physical distancing.
CYS CONCERT RECORDINGS
For the first time in CYS history, we live streamed our concerts in October and December on the CYS YouTube channel. Along with our patrons and supporters who cannot physically attend these concerts, our recordings provide access to our families and friends worldwide. Visit CYS Media Channel
